Ben Ingebretson
Ben Ingebretson is husband to Karen, father to three adult kids and their families and lives in Grand Rapids MI. Since college and seminary days in Minnesota and Scotland (Bethel St. Paul and then University of Aberdeen) he has been a bi-vo church planter, pastor of a multiplying church and served as new church development director with two denominations for 20+ years.
As planting director, Ben trained, coached and walked alongside 100’s of new church starts. He grew to appreciate the unique challenges in urban, rural and ethnic planting. He has coached multi-sites, organic micro, large launch attractional and bi-vocational church plants.
Coaching for Ben is about helping the client identify their priorities and execute them in the ways that make best sense in their context. He approaches each session with a commitment to listening closely to hear the reality the planter is wrestling with and helping them discern the best options going forward. Each session concludes with specific action areas and a follow up email summary.
Ben has published several books: Parent Church Landmines (2010), Multiplication Moves (2012) and most recently, Plant Like Jesus, the church planter’s devotional (2021). In his down time, he loves to tandem bike with his wife, hang out with his growing family and sail the Great Lakes!
